Who’s Got the Monkey?
Maybe it was being 24 years old and thinking about an MBA. Maybe it was because I wanted all the ‘monkeys’ I could get to prove myself and get ahead. But when I read the…

Understand your desire to avoid shame and you’ll start to see where blame comes in. Where pride gets its start. When Adam screwed up in the garden, what did he do? He ran and hid….
On Friday morning, I did what I love to do. I got up before sunrise, went down to the beach, plugged in my headphones and watched the sky get continually lighter as I started singing my favorite David…
Guilt says “I did something bad.” Shame says “I am something bad.” This kind of message is devastating to a boy and it makes for a messed-up man later on. A few low points from…
I asked my counselor friend why she was so good at getting men to open up and make progress. “I avoid shame,” she said. It seems men have this huge ‘hole in their souls,’ called…
Few things in life matter more than the emotional connection between a kid and his dad. It has to start early and be refreshed often. If Dad isn’t there to talk about little things with…
When someone sent me this video, I lit up. It totally shows how we (men) get hung up with ‘content’ and drive right by ‘feelings’. I showed it to the guys in my mentoring group…
Thoughts on ‘trans-portation’ (the end of life here and the beginning of life in heaven…there is no ‘death’ for Jesus’ brothers and sisters). 1. People want to be ‘walked home’ – just like on a…
A young friend sends me an email draft. He’s about to ‘blow the head off’ an important person in his business life. He’s frustrated . . . even justified to ‘tell it like it is.’…
Not too long ago, our T.V. screens flashed images of bloated-bellied African children. Emotion-filled voices pleaded for donations to save them from starvation. Either those ads stopped working or the situation has improved. Probably a…

Regi Campbell was an entrepreneur, author, and mentor. He was involved in founding 15 companies and served as CEO four times. He wrote four books: About My Father’s Business, Mentor Like Jesus, What Radical Husbands Do, and Radical Wisdom.
But Regi’s passion and calling was mentoring younger men to become all-in Jesus-followers. Through his 19 mentoring groups, he personally invested in 155 men and indirectly, in their marriages and families. The success of his mentoring groups led Regi to found Radical Mentoring to equip and engage men and their churches in launching intentional men’s small group mentoring. Through the investments of those churches and mentors, over 11,000 men have been mentored.
Regi was married to Miriam for 50 years. Their two adult children are happily married (with five grandkids between them) and live only a couple of hours away. Regi went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 24, 2020.
