The Father You Want to Be
I ran across this commercial while watching tv the other day and in light of Father’s Day yesterday, I wanted to share with all of you. After you watch it, I think you’ll see why I felt it didn’t really need to be accompanied by many words. Enjoy . . .

Scripture: Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4)
Mentor Tip: Many of your mentees are committed to being the kind of father depicted in this 2-minute video. But they need to be encouraged not to neglect one-on-one conversations with each of their kids about God. Kids get their first image of God from their dads, so if their dads are silent about faith, their kids will have to imagine and make up what their dads believe and why their faith is important to them. Remind your mentees to live it but not to forget to say it too!
