Have You Been Served By Radical Mentoring?

It was September 17, 2009. We were figuring out what God would have us do to fund Radical Mentoring as we ramped it up online. We called in our friend and intercessor Larry Green who crafted a prayer for the board and several other key people we’d invited. It was a big night. A big deal. The 2 key things we left with that night were 1) to make our content free . . . to remove as many obstacles to men becoming mentors as possible and 2) a conviction (we believed came from our Heavenly Father) that “the people who have benefited from Radical Mentoring will fund Radical Mentoring.”

Since that night, we’ve felt amazingly loved and supported. The money we’ve needed has come in. It’s such an encouragement to experience. We set up the following programs and categories to set things in motion . . .

We created “Champions of Radical Mentoring,” inviting 25 men whom we sensed have been touched by their Radical Mentoring experience to give $2500 a year to fund what we do. Almost every single one said yes. And as some have dropped off, others have stepped forward, most without even being asked . . .

This year, we started “Friends of Radical Mentoring” for guys who want to give $1000 a year. We haven’t talked much about this option but guys are already stepping up at this level to support what we’re doing.

Three years ago, we launched the Radical Mentoring Golf Classic. It raised almost $30,000 the first year and has grown each year since. It has become an annual opportunity for our ‘tribe’ to come together, reconnect and celebrate. You can sponsor a hole for $500 or even play in the tournament, which includes great prizes, a delicious barbeque lunch, and a day full of fun for $325. This year’s event is scheduled for Monday, September 28^th, 2015.

We can learn more about God in one moment of obedience than a lifetime of sacrifice.
