Our recommendation is no. Keep the focus of the meeting on the meeting. Encourage the men to grab dinner before they arrive. Believe it or not, 3 hours can go by quickly, and your mentors will need every minute they can for each meeting. Serving dinner can be a distraction and take up valuable meeting time.

It’s totally reasonable to have water ready for you guys and maybe a light snack like pretzels or granola bars, but you don’t want anything that will be a distraction.

If you really want to include a light meal, we suggest you do it before the meeting and make it optional. So if you’re meeting starts at 7pm, dinner would be from 6:30-7pm, with the explicit understanding that once 7pm hits, you’re in meeting mode.
