Yes, you can. We’ve tried to make our mentoring resources very adaptable, and we’ve seen several mentors lead groups with high school or college students. A couple of things to keep in mind though. It can be harder to get students to commit to the standards, especially the reading, as they probably already have a good bit of reading and homework for school. You may also need to adjust some of the homework assignments that may not apply to their life stage. Lastly, they think in semesters, so you’ll want to be conscious of that when you’re determining your season length. One final word, like with non-student groups, if you clearly communicate the expectations upfront and make sure everybody is on board, it can work.
